Absentee by Mail Ballots Information
Voters can request an absentee ballot 78 days prior to an election. The last day to submit an absentee application is 11 days prior to the election. Click here to request a ballot (this will open to a new tab).
Voters who are elderly and disabled are normally entitled to make one absentee application, and its rollover to all elections in the cycle. However, for any special primary, special primary runoff, special election, or special election runoff, voters in this category are required to apply separate and distinct applications for an absentee ballot. This means, any elderly and disabled voter as described in O.C.G.A. § 21-2-381 (a)(1)(G), and SEB Rule 183-1-14-.01 (1) and (2) will have to request an absentee ballot.
