Three Convenience Centers offer a Compactor for Recycled Items

There is NO CHARGE for recycling. NO GLASS is accepted.
The following items are accepted:

Newspaper and inserts, craft paper, paper grocery and shopping bags, tissue box paper towel and toilet paper cores, cereal boxes, shoe boxes, magazines, catalogs envelopes, calendars, phone books, paperback books, computer paper, junk mail, greeting cards, beverage and cigarette cartons.

Recycling a stack of newspaper just three feet high saves one tree.
Corrugated cardboard boxes, pizza boxes cleaned of any food residue.

Recycling one ton of cardboard saves 46 gallons of oil.
Steel cans and lids cleaned of any food residue.

Recycling seven steel cans save enough energy to power a 60 watt bulb for 26 hours.
Aluminum cans, baking tins, food containers cleaned of any food residue.

Recycling one aluminum saves enough energy to keep a 100-watt bulb burning or four hours.
Plastics with the following numbers:
#3 through #7,
milk jugs #2,
soda and water bottles #1,
plastic detergent bottles #2.

Five two-liter bottles produces enough polyester for a square yard of carpet.
